Test Drive

Welcome

Welcome to the Test Drive page.

If you are interested in being considered as a tester, you can let us know by filling out our tester sign-up form.

[Note]Note

Because of limitations on test group sizes for some tests, we are not always able to accommodate everyone who would like to be a tester. Sorry for that.

Please visit AOcell Software Tester Sign-up or click the image below to sign up as a tester (User registration of this website is required for better communication).

[Note]If you don't have time to be a tester...

If you don't have time to be a tester but have interest in AOcell vSync, feel free to try out the test release and tell us what you think about AOcell vSync. We want to hear what you think about AOcell vSync. We want to know if it rocks, just OK, or flat out wrong. All comments and suggestions will be most welcome.

[Tip]What is Snapshot, Alpha, Beta, RC?

From time to time, products are released with a name (Snapshot 20061005, Alpha 1, Beta 3, RC1...).

  • Snapshot indicates a cutting edge release, based on the latest source code, which contains up-to-date features and bugfixes but may contain critical bugs. It's for experienced users only.

  • Alpha indicates a very early release, which is probably quite buggy.

  • Beta indicates an early release, with which many people can work and report bugs, but is still not for production use.

  • RC (Release Candidate) indicates that a release is code-complete and ready to be released to the public unless fatal bugs emerge. But it is still not for production use.

[Tip]What's a tester?

Before our products being released to the public, we thoroughly test them. Part of this testing is done by a specially selected group of our users, called Testers. They may try out Alpha, Beta and RC releases and report any issues they find so that we can fix them before we release the product.

[Tip]What's a test?

Before a product is released to the public, it has to go through testing. Both Alpha and Beta testing are key phases of the product's development, helping us make sure it works as designed.

FAQ about Test Drive

What happens after I submit the tester sign-up form?

Once you fill out and submit the form, you will be entered in our database of potential testers.

What feedback do I need to give?

You may be asked to answer questions related to the product usage. We would like that you push the product to its limits and give us your feedback, if any, on areas for improvement, defects in the product, as well as a testimonial of your experience using the product.

Where do I send feedback to?
Why would I volunteer to test?

Most important, you may help us design the product.

Further, as an active tester, subject to the terms of each test, a copy of the final version of the product you are testing will be as a reward and your name will be in the credits of the product.
